April 27, 2008, Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, New York and New Jersey organized the Independence Torch Relay from Union Square and concluded at Bryant Park. This is a part of worldwide relay of Tibetan Independence Torch which was launched by the Tibetan Youth Congress, based in Dharamshala, India. Around hundreds of Tibetans and supporters joined the relay which includes speeches, songs and a skit.
